Amanuta es una editorial que, desde el año 2002, publica libros ilustrados para niñas, niños y jóvenes con la intención de entretener, divertir, inspirar, emocionar y enseñar. Como editorial buscamos estar constantemente entregando propuestas innovadoras y creativas, que se vayan adaptando a los tiempos actuales. También combinamos tradición y modernidad, es decir, herencia cultural y nuevos conceptos en una amplia variedad de temas, logrando encantar tanto a menores como adultos.
Ilustradoras e ilustradores son fundamentales en el desarrollo de nuestros proyectos editoriales, y por cuarto año estamos realizando nuestro concurso: “Ilustra Amanuta”. El objetivo es conocer nuevos talentos. A la fecha estamos trabajando con más de diez ilustradores que han sido seleccionados en estos concursos.
¿QUIÉNES PUEDEN PARTICIPAR?
Ilustradores chilenos o extranjeros mayores de 21 años.
¿CÓMO PARTICIPAR?
1. Cada participante podrá postular una (1) ilustración.
2. Cada participante deberá seleccionar un fragmento de un texto para ilustrar, puede ser un fragmento de algún cuento clásico, canción, rima, adivinanza, poesía o un texto propio, destinado a niñas y niños de 0 a 8 años. El texto deberá estar escrito en español o inglés.
3. Cada participante deberá ilustrar el fragmento del texto seleccionado.
4. El formato a enviar deberá ser un solo documento en JPG, PNG o PDF con la ilustración y el texto juntos. Puede ser una composición integrada o no. Las medidas son libres.
5. La ilustración debe ser original e inédita y no puede haber sido publicada en ningún medio impreso o libro digital.
FECHAS
Recepción de ilustraciones: del 14 de agosto al 28 de septiembre.
Evaluación: del 30 de septiembre al 17 de octubre.
La tercera semana de octubre se notificará a los ilustradores ganadores y seleccionados a través de correo electrónico.
Última semana de octubre: publicación digital en la web de amanuta.
JURADO
El jurado estará conformado por el equipo de Amanuta y otros dos profesionales del sector editorial y de la ilustración. El jurado seleccionará un máximo de 14 ilustradores, de entre los cuales se nombrará a un ganador y un segundo lugar.

Diego Bianki
Diego es autor de libros ilustrados y artista visual. Premiado y publicado en Latinoamérica, Asia, Europa y EEUU. Docente y creador de talleres y actividades lúdicas para adultos y niños. Ha escrito ponencias y artículos sobre ilustración, diseño editorial y edición; publicados en revistas especializadas, catálogos y periódicos de América Latina, Asia y Europa. En 2019, es premiado por el Ministerio de Educación y Cultura (MEC, Uruguay), para realizar: “Levrerónimos iluminados”, un proyecto que contempla la accesibilidad para personas con discapacidad. Ha sido Jurado en premios nacionales (Argentina) e internacionales (México, Italia): Miembro del Gran Jurado del Premio Konex de Artes Visuales (2022). Miembro del Jurado del premio a l Orilla del viento (2017). Miembro del Jurado en la Bologna Illustration Exhibition (2019).

Sol Undurraga
Sol Undurraga Machicao (Mujer Gallina) estudió arquitectura y desde el 2011 se desempeña como ilustradora. Ilustró el libro Atlas americano editado por Amanuta. Obtuvo el premio de Opera Prima en Bologna Childrens Book Fair 2018 y el premio Green Island en Corea con su libro La Plage, editado por la L'agrume en Francia y traducido y editado por Wellmade Pictures Books en Corea del Sur y Sapocast en Chile. Sol y Mujer Gallina han sido reconocidas y seleccionadas dos veces como finalista en Latin American Illustrator NY, tres veces en el catálogo Iberoamericano en México, dos veces en Bologna Children 's Book Fair y en la Bienal de Ilustración en Portugal. Invitada para dar charlas de apertura en la FILIJ de Guadalajara y Oaxaca y en la FILBO en Bogotá. Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Chile, Barcelona, Estados Unidos, Corea, Japón, Portugal e Italia. Asimismo, Sol ha trabajado para el diario El País semanal en España, SZ en Alemania, Radio Ambulante en US, entre otras. En España está representada por la agencia Pencil. Actualmente, está radicada en Berlín.

Los ilustradores seleccionados autorizan a incluir sus obras en el catálogo Ilustra Amanuta y en cualquier otro medio de difusión, con fines promocionales.
Los ilustradores ganadores y seleccionados serán contactados para tener una reunión con el equipo de Amanuta y ver posibilidades de colaboración en publicaciones futuras.
El hecho de presentar trabajos a este concurso supone la expresa conformidad de los ilustradores participantes con las presentes bases.

Amanuta is a publishing house that, since 2002, creates illustrated books for girls, boys, and young people with the intention of entertaining, delighting, inspiring, moving, and teaching. As a publisher, we constantly strive to provide innovative and creative proposals that adapt to current times. We also blend tradition and modernity, meaning cultural heritage and new concepts across a wide range of topics, appealing to both children and adults alike.
Illustrators play a crucial role in the development of our editorial projects, and for the fourth year in a row, we are hosting our "Ilustra Amanuta" contest. The goal is to discover new talents. To date, we have collaborated with more than ten illustrators who have been selected through these contests.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Chilean or foreign illustrators over the age of 21.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
1. Each participant may submit one (1) illustration.
2. Each participant must choose a fragment of text to illustrate, which can be an excerpt from a classic story, song, rhyme, riddle, poetry, or an original text aimed at children aged 0 to 8 years. The text should be written in Spanish or English.
3. Each participant should illustrate the chosen text fragment.
4. The submission format should be a single document in JPG, PNG, or PDF format, containing the illustration and the text together. It can be an integrated composition or not. The dimensions are free.
5. The illustration must be original and unpublished and must not have been published in any print media or digital book.
DATES
Receipt of illustrations: from August 14th to September 28th.
Evaluation: from September 30th to October 17th.
Winners and selected illustrators will be notified via email during the third week of October.
Last week of October: digital publication on the Amanuta website.
JURY
The jury will be composed of the Amanuta team and two other professionals from the publishing and illustration sectors. The jury will select a maximum of 14 illustrators, among whom a winner and a second place will be named.

Diego Bianki
Diego is an author of illustrated books and a visual artist. He has received awards and been published in Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the USA. He is a teacher and creator of workshops and playful activities for adults and children. He has written papers and articles on illustration, editorial design, and publishing, published in specialized magazines, catalogs, and newspapers in Latin America, Asia, and Europe. In 2019, he was awarded by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC, Uruguay) to carry out "Levrerónimos iluminados," a project that considers accessibility for people with disabilities. He has been a jury member in national (Argentina) and international (Mexico, Italy) awards. Member of the Grand Jury of the Konex Visual Arts Award (2022). Member of the Jury of the Orilla del viento award (2017). Member of the Jury in the Bologna Illustration Exhibition (2019).

Sol Undurraga
Sol Undurraga Machicao (Mujer Gallina) studied architecture and has been working as an illustrator since 2011. She illustrated the book "Atlas americano" published by Amanuta. The winning and selected illustrators will be contacted for a meeting with the Amanuta team to explore possibilities for collaboration in future publications.
Submitting works to this contest implies the explicit agreement of participating illustrators with these terms.
